So Happy!!

I'm so happy!! Yesterday I had my first sale on my Etsy shop!  I sold the light turquoise dresser, I love this piece so much that I was tempted to keep it for me! But we are in the process of moving and I need to lighten my load instead of getting more things :(. Of course I'm happy because is going to a home where it'll be appreciated :D. Now I'm getting it ready to ship so I still have much to do but I'll keep you posted and I'll write a post with the before and after of this dresser...well I have to go...

I don't know yet where is going to be used but I imagine it in a master bedroom,
 in a tween, teenager or little girl bedroom or in a nursery!! So many possibilities...

I want you to know part of my story, because as a blog reader myself I feel more connected with a blog when I know the people who's behind. I'm 28, a stay at home mom, married with my forever boyfriend Jaime for 10 years, we have 3 children: Jaime Jr. (9), Erika (8) and Julian (10 months), they are my reason to be...    

I started this blog as a motivation to do something productive, not that I do nothing all day but just the opposite :) I am a stay at home mom 24/7, and this takes up all my time, but of course other than the mom, wife and housewife chores, I like to unleash my creativity and all the ideas I have, and although the priorities come first, I found the time to do so. So I am dedicating to one of my passions that is to look for old and forgotten furniture, in order to fix them, change them, either painted in different finishes, designs or stained to give them a new life with a modern touch to match with the decor of a home and can re-occupy an important place in the home of any person, because who doesn't have a piece of furniture with a sentimental value that want to keep and for some reason doesn't match with the decor, and making some changes you can use it again instead of ending in the trash or hidden in a storage. And giving it purpose to an old and battered piece of furniture with my work, seeing that it is useful to someone, besides of give me joy, it also makes me feel good and helps me provide my two cents to my family economy. Thus, this blog is going to be my journal to save those changes and transformations, those before and after we all like to see, so even if no one reads my blog at this time (besides my husband and my children) I hope in a future not too far I'll have followers to join me in this journey.

Quiero que conozcas parte de mi historia, porque como soy una lectora compulsiva :) de blogs, me siento más conectada con un blog cuando conozco a la(s) personas que está(an) detrás de él. Tengo 28 años, casada hace 10 años con mi novio de toda la vida Jaime, tenemos 3 niños: Jaime (9), Erika (8) and Julian (10 meses), ellos son mi razon de ser...
 Empecé este blog como una motivación para hacer algo productivo, no es que no haga nada en todo el día, sino todo lo contrario :), soy una mamá en casa 24 horas al día, 7 días a la semana, y esto ocupa gran parte de mi tiempo, pero por supuesto que aparte de las tareas del hogar, las de mamá y esposa, también me gusta darle rienda suelta a mi creatividad y a todas las ideas que tengo, y aunque las prioridades son lo primero, he encontrado el tiempo para hacerlo. Así que me estoy dedicando a una de mis pasiones que es buscar muebles viejos y olvidados, para así arreglarlos, cambiarlos, ya sea con pintura en diferentes acabados, algún diseño ó "stain", para darles una nueva vida con un toque moderno que pueda armonizar con la decoración de una casa y que puedan volver a ocupar un lugar importante en el hogar de alguna persona, porque quien no tiene un mueble con un valor sentimental y del que no se quiera deshacer y que por alguna razón no armoniza con la decoración y al hacerle algún cambio puede volver a tener un uso en lugar de terminar guardado ó escondido porque no combina. Y el volver a darle sentido a un mueble maltratado ú olvidado con mi trabajo, el ver que es de utilidad para alguien, además de darme alegría, también me hace sentir bien y me ayuda a aportar un granito de arena a la economía de mi familia. Es así que éste blog será mi diario, donde guardar esos cambios y transformaciones, esos antes y despúes que a todos nos gusta ver, así que aunque en este momento nadie léa mi blog (aparte de mi esposo y mis hijos) espero después contar con seguidores que me acompañen en esta jornada.
